The Brisbane Young Entrepreneur Awards showcase the city's top business leaders aged 40 and under who have built a thriving business, delivered innovation, led social change or forged a path to turn their dream into reality.
In its most competitive year yet, the Awards were presented at a special gala event at Victoria Park in front of more than 200 guests.
With a combined revenue of $150 million, the finalists' businesses have made a significant contribution to the state.
Many young Queenslanders are passionate about creating change. The University of Queensland Create Change Award will recognise young people that are driving activities, programs and initiatives that promote or create change. The Create Change Award acknowledges and celebrates the commitment young people make in achieving or participating in positive activities that empower change locally, nationally and/or internationally.
The purpose of the Queensland Young Achiever Awards is to acknowledge, encourage and most importantly promote the positive achievements of all young people up to and including 29 years of age as of 31st December 2015.
